5 Reasons We’re Thankful for You, Our Crowdfunding Partners in Higher Education
The holiday season is in full swing, and Thanksgiving is here to greet us with so many reasons to be thankful. As we reflect on this past year, we are reminded of all of the reasons our partners (and all of the innovators) in higher education are changing our lives, their campuses, and the future of philanthropy.
Here’s why we’re thankful for what you do:
1. You are empowering student leaders
A common value that bonds us here at USEED is the belief that the best way to learn is to build, to create, and to just go do. As former students, we also fondly remember those who empowered us to leave our desks and go do, and thus we had the opportunity to create our own powerful learning experiences.
Make no mistake, you are one of those mentors to the students on your campus.
We are thankful that you believe in the power of your students. That you believe in their ability to engage donors in ways that others cannot, and that you recognize the impact of encouraging innovators at a young age to have real world experiences that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.
2. You are changing higher education for the better
Higher education has been the same for a very, very long time.
But you – you have embraced the future of higher education, and you want to be on the helm of materializing it.
You are bringing out the goodness and the purpose of higher education by giving power to the people on your campus through crowdfunding. Your partnership has also afforded us the opportunity to be an influential group of allies in higher education seeking to make institutions better connected with their donors and the world around them.
3. You teach us so much!
You offer unique perspectives that shape the way we view crowdfunding, higher education, and philanthropy daily. You are in the trenches, making change happen, and since we believe the best way to learn is by doing, it’s not a surprise that you have taught us so much, and that you will continue to do so.
Thank you for continually sharing your insights and experiences so that we can be the best at what we do!
4. You keep us grounded in our problem solving
Here’s a shout-out from our product team:
While it’s true that we could build solutions to problems on our own, without you, these solutions may not solve the actual issues you encounter on the ground level. Your partnership and transparency allows us to ground our technology solutions against your real-world challenges.
We are thankful that you trust us to build solutions for you, with you.
5. You have given us your trust
No doubt, innovation can be scary.
You have given us your trust before you can be sure it will be worth it, and we know this is because you believe that finding new ways to engage your community is worth the risk. It is worth the adventure, and it is worth the outcome.
It is because of partners like you that we are able to make waves in higher education. You are leaving a legacy behind on your campus, and we are grateful that you trust us to help you make it so.
“What if this doesn’t work?” has transformed to “We are going to make this work.” How could we not say thank you for that?
And so, to the dreamers: Thank you.
To the innovators: Thank you.
To the world changers: Thank you.
To our partners: Thank you.
